NIUE USED BLOCK
The 1898 pictorial issue of New Zealand has some very attractive stamps and perhaps the best is the tuppence-hapenny showing Lake Wakatipu and Mt. Earnslaw. In 1902 these were overprinted in red for use in New Zealand dependencies in the Pacific including Niue. This delightful used block of four has a socked-on-the nose Niue/17 June 1903 postmark in red complementing the surcharge as well as the colour of the stamp. Scott c.v. is U.S. $18; S.G. is £16 for singles. DF 18 CDN $25 | ||
