PERFIN USED OVERSEAS

Two cent King Edward with Sun Life Co. perfin cancel by Montreal Mar 13, 1907 machine cancel with indicia 'D' paying the two cent rate to Nassau, Bahamas with Mar 21 receiver. Early perfins are very seldom seen on cover to exotic destinations because it was contrary to regulations to use private perfins on overseas mail. The cover has a Nassau March 21, 1907 backstamp.
