BASUTOLAND #2 USED BLOCK WITH MAMATHES 1936 POSTMARK
Before 1933 the Crown Colony of Basutoland used stamps of the Cape of Good Hope, and later South Africa. The town or village of Mamethes is not one of those listed by Robson Lowe as a Post Town and so is likely quite scarce. This attractive block does have minor toning spots on the back. S.G. #2 catalogue value £8 for most common postmark. DF61 CDN $30 | ||
