NORTHERN NIGERIA #49 ON COVER

The Protectorate of Northern Nigeria issued stamps from the 1900 until uniting with Southern Nigeria in 1914. This cover comes from the capital Zurigeru dated Feb 17, 1914 and franked the currency 2 shillings six pence value. (Scott #49; S.G #49 £160 on cover) With London transit and Halberstadt receiver, this is a delightful high value franking.
