LOVELY LUMBERING Until 1949 stamps to be used on official mail had holes punched in the stamps with the initials OHMS. In that year and for the next fourteen years stamps were overprinted "OHMS" for about one year and then the bilingual designation "G". The scarcest of the overprints is the 50 cent Lumbering with OHMS overprint. Only 30,000 were overprinted. This week we offer a very fine, never hinged Plate Block of this scarce stamp.
