On May 2nd, we've entered $3,850 worth of inventory. A small collection of topical souvenir sheets of Cats, Dogs, and Wildlife from Gambia, Ghana, Guyana, and Gibraltar $513. Also a small collection of British Commonwealth $3,337. Most notable stamps include Ascension #7 $100; Ascension #8 $170; Bahamas #58-62 $120; Bahamas #70-82 $110; Bahamas #33-36 $100; Antigua #31-41 $200; Antigua #67-76 $200; Antigua #17 $100; Antigua #21-30 $250; and Antigua #42-57 $160.

We couldn't let this go a month without an update.  We really do add inventory every day.  Thus update includes a nice group of modern used Canada booklets (that's right booklets, not panes) totaling $946; some NH PRC $257; 1935 KGV Silver Jubilee a complete set hinged into a printed album for a special price of $595 and a nearly complete set all never hinged and priced individually at $1157.  The really big amount comes from most of a Canada collection which was nearly complete.  The items are on our website and in our March-April mailing.  So far we have removed and priced stamps with a retail value of over $44,000.  So that's some of what we have added up to March 5. 

On Feb. 6 we added $577 in Italy and colonies with a broad range of used, **, and *; $226 of Ireland, mainly used, and $621 in Turkey.

On Feb. 5 we entered $3835 in stamps from the animal topical collection.  (It is coming to an end - but there are many other collections.)  Often it was World Wildlife Fund sets which provided much of the catalogue value. Among the countries with the most value stamps were Kenya, Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, and Malayan States. We really try to keep these figures accurate but there are several special situations.  New purchases of supplies and books are not included.  Additions to our modern Canada and modern Great Britain books are not included (and these have been substantial recently).  Sometimes the most expensive stamps elude the system.  We recently bought and sold a lovely four dollar Jubilee.  An XF NH Inverted Seaway has not been formally entered into our database.  But other things happen to frustrate accurate record keeping.  Last week Kim finished two days of entering and posted over $9000 as additions to inventory.  However about two-thirds of these had already been counted in our daily update so on Thursday afternoon we were overstating our additions to inventory by about $6000. But, good news, on Friday and Saturday a flood of activity resulted in sales from collections of a sum greater than that entered on Thursday.  So now, although our figure is not strictly accurate it does understate the amount of new inventory entered since January 1 of this year.

Just entered a large box of the following on Jan. 31: a few Newfoundland $385; some nice Canada $3,3112; British Commonwealth which includes Silver Jubilee Issues and Silver Wedding Issues $2,621; and Foreign $3,030.

On Jan. 30 we had a fairly slow day in the store but with three large transactions which made it a great day for sales.  As a result we finished two of the remaining five boxes of unpriced covers.  These are really worldwide and we did not total any countries but there are almost 700 covers priced at only a dollar, over 300 priced at $2 and not many higher priced items.  The variety was fascinating.  I look forward to another equally slow but profitable day.

On Jan. 28 & 29 we added a Hong Kong set #185-198** ($200), some Canada including 96-103*, revenues etc. ($784) and world-wide lots and collections totaling $1275.

On Jan. 25 & 26 we added a bit of Cuba ($67) but the rest came from the 23 volume animal collection.  Among the strongest countries were the Indian state of Soruth, Indonesian souvenir sheets, Ireland especially post 2000, and Ivory Coast with nice WWF sets.

Jan. 24 was a day of ordinary stuff with Greece $221, Liberia $151, and by far the best with some decent quality early stamps was the Netherlands Antilles (Curacao) $629.

On Jan. 23 we added $425 in small lots with a $100 worldwide collection and almost a dozen Great Britain $25 lots, $428 in Norway $501 in Netherlands from classics to WWII period.

On Jan. 22 we started the day with six boxes of unpriced covers; now we have five.  The countries with the most value were Switzerland $346, Great Britain $328, and South Africa $278.

On Jan. 21 we added some Hong Kong $222, some Germany and German States $192, some Canada incl. E2 XF** and Nfld incl. ##87,87ix,87xii block total $736, and $208 of misc. incl.Natal 57a used, Nauru 13*, Western Australia 52 unused.

On Jan. 19 we added three more volumes of the animal (mammal) collection for $2768.  These included Gambia 344a**, Guinea 752-7, C137-42**, Germany B105**, Greenland 10-16**, and 19-21*; the three sets from the latter two countries have owner's handstamp on reverse; the misc. of $569 incl. Qatar**$183, Camerouns **$138 and mixed $248.

On Jan. 17 we added some nice ** Canada in the KGV and KGVI periods ($446), Portugal used blocks of 4 or 6 of #6, #14, & #21 ($375) and some misc. from Hong Kong, Germany, Turkey, Vatican & Israel ($677).

On Jan.16 we added a lovely collection of Newfoundland town (and a few cork) cancels.  There are hundreds of items, many priced at only a dollar, for a total of $903.  The balance includes **Saudi Arabia, **Solomon Islands postage dues, **blocks of Newf. J3a and J4, and an interesting used block of New Zealand postage due.

On Jan. 14/15 we had another strong day in retail additions thanks to $5194 in animal (actually specifically mammals) topicals. Some of the strongest were Ceylon 1970 slender loris with missing colour and PRC pandas #1108-13** and a monkey #1586**.  Also we added $100 in small lots and $298 in Lebanon airmails.

On Jan. 12 we added a further $1416 in animal topicals.  Check our boutique if you collect this topical.  In addition a collection of Colombia was carefully made ready in hundreds of offerings totalling $776.  As a result we will likely now have one "red box" dedicated to Colombia.  In addition to the items listed, a collection of Germany in six Lighthouse albums, a Davo album, and a Scott Specialty was purchased for $2500.  We don't particularly need it for our stockbooks and offer it intact for a short period at 15% over our cost i.e. $2875  (but that is net - no Kimmerly dollars).

On Jan. 10/11 we added some fresh NH 1948 Silver Weddings incl Ascension, Bahrain, Bermuda, Cyprus, Gibraltar, G.B., K.U.T., Kuwait, 9 diff Malaya, Pitcairn, Sarawak (sub-total $977), $563 in 1935 Silver Jubilees, $287 in Turks & Caicos incl. the Edward set, $665 in lots and collections with Portugal & Colonies (10 lots at $25 each), and misc. Germany, France etc. $725.

On January 8/9 we added a collection we have been working on for a while.  It is the subject of a broadcast email and can be seen with 75 pages scanned at iankimmerly.com/swa.  It is a collection of South West Africa priced at $45,000.  It is NOT very often that we add this much to our inventory offerings.  In the more mundane we added $633 including France #840-844 VFNH imperforate and $80 in classic Cuba.

On January 7 we added $1962 including many items of France $572, early Hong Kong $279 with #62* and 173* with an interesting printer's ink smear, Finland $254, nice quality German States $440 incl. Saxony, Hanover #1, #3, Lubeck #9* etc. and over $300 of miscellaneous. A lot of Congo etc. is described as "A fascinating lot from the turbulent 1960-1962 period with hundreds of stamps from the Congo, Katanga, and South Kasai both mint and used.  A number are unlisted in Michel.  Especially interesting are Katanga stamps with CONGO overprints.  Also 6 covers from the U.N. Force with 3 Congo, 2 Katanga, and one South Kasai." Price $100.  Tomorrow or Thursday we are going to launch an incredible collection of South-West Africa.

The first week of January we continued our annual sale and we were very, very busy.  The sale total exceeded last year. Thank you! On January 2 and 3 we had about an hour free and added $1941 in Canada with $639 used incl. Sc#15, 100, 158, 159, MR6 pair with jumbo margins, MR7 pair, 0245, 0273, and 010. The mint ($1302) incl. #55, 57, 101, 262**, 281** (this is XF and very scarce this nice), E2**, F1, F2a, MR1**, MR5**, MR7**.  On Saturday Amy added $1850 in animal topicals, including the Belize stamp which is our weekly feature.  These are already entered into our inventory. Amy will continue to add items -- usually weekly -- from a 23 volume collection of mostly never hinged stamps.
